It is shown that the low-energy cluster beam deposition technique of t
ransition metals leads to a random compact cluster stacking. Both the
structure and the geometry of these clusters before and after depositi
on are described. We interpreted the magnetic behavior of our 100 nm t
hick films by a random anisotropy model with a scale law and in terms
of localization of spin waves.
