The behaviour of magnetic reversal process and the magnetoresistive pr
operties of layered films composed of polycrystalline Fe15Co20Ni65 and
amorphous GdCo layers has been studied. It is established that mutual
ly opposed layer magnetization orientations may exist in the main stat
e if there is an interlayer exchange interaction. This peculiarity, co
upled with uniaxial magnetic anisotropy and the magnetoresistive effec
t, which are ensured by the Fe15Co20Ni65 layer, allows us to regard th
ese layer structures as a material for memory cells with quasi-closed
magnetic fluxes.
