Abstract
The temperature dependence of the giant magnetoresistance (GMR) and la yer magnetisations has been investigated for uncoupled single Co/Cu/Fe 20Ni80 trilayers with uniaxial anisotropy. The GMR amplitude is found to vary with a near T-2 behaviour below 100 K and with a T-1.2 depende nce above 100 K, respectively. The temperature dependence of the Co an d Fe20Ni80 layer magnetisations is found to be uncorrelated with the t emperature dependence of the GMR.
