Abstract
Based on technology employed by the die casting industry, a dry powder
lubricant applicator has been used to apply tribostatically dry lubri
cants onto die walls. The technique has been applied successfully usin
g single and complex dies in the fabrication of high density parts fro
m iron and steel powders containing no infernal lubricants.
