SEEDING OF A PAROTID PLEOMORPHIC ADENOMA

Recurrent pleomorphic adenoma of the parotid usually occurs in the dis tribution of the primary procedure. There are numerous reports of wide spread local recurrence and a few reported cases of distant metastases . Extensive seeding throughout the entire ipsilateral neck is rare. Tr eatment involves a combination of radical surgery and radiotherapy. Th e potential for malignant transformation demands close follow-up of yo unger patients particularly.
