The spectrum of germanium was photographed in the 100-400 Angstrom reg
ion on a variety of grazing incidence spectrographs using a triggered
spark source. The 3d(8)4s4p configuration of Ge V was studied and 51 o
ut of 90 levels were established and 105 Lines were identified in the
220-275 Angstrom region belonging to the 3d(9)4s-3d(8)4s4p transition
array. Two levels D-1(2) and P-3(1) of the 3d(9)7p and one level F-3(2
) Of the 3d(9)5f configuration have been established based on eight li
nes as transitions to the 3d(9)4s configuration. Seven resonance lines
3d(101)S(0)-3d(9)(5f + 6f + 6p) have also been identified. The typing
error in the earlier reporting of the 3d(9)6p configuration levels ha
s been corrected. The Hartree-Fock and least squares fitted parametric
calculations interpret the spectrum adequately.
