Abstract
This paper deals with the axial structure of the electron density in t he central portion of a plasma of the surfatron type. The point of dep arture is an expression for the attenuation coefficient which includes the dielectric loss in the glass envelope of the discharge, applied t o the geometry of the round plasma cylinder. The influence of the loss tangent on the axial distribution is examined.
