Y. Pei et al., EXPRESSION OF HUMAN PLASMINOGEN-ACTIVATOR INHIBITOR-2 IN THE BACULOVIRUS EXPRESSION SYSTEM, Biochemistry and molecular biology international, 35(5), 1995, pp. 923-928
A cDNA coding for human plasminogen activator inhibitor-2 (PAI-2) was
transfered into the genome of Autographa californica nuclear polyhedro
sis virus adjacent to the polyhedrin promoter. Cells infected with rec
ombinant virus synthesized a 43-kDa PAI-2 protein, the majority of whi
ch was secreted. The recombinant PAI-2 was identical to native PAI-2 p
urified from human placenta with respect to interaction with polyclona
l antibody and inhibition of urokinase-type plasminogen activator.
