K. Iwanami et al., VIBRATION CONTROL METHOD FOR PARALLEL STRUCTURES CONNECTED BY DAMPER AND SPRING, JSME international journal. Series C, dynamics, control, robotics, design and manufacturing, 39(4), 1996, pp. 714-720
The purpose of this study is to analyze a simultaneous vibration contr
ol method of structures. The analyses are performed under the followin
g assumptions: each structure is composed of a mass and spring and vib
rates in a one-degree-of-freedom mode, and a vibration input is applie
d to the base of the structure. Here, the vibration model is composed
of two structures connected by one damper and one spring in parallel.
From the analyses, it was clarified that the theory of P, Q is useful
as a method of optimum adjustment of this vibration control model. In
addition, the optimum design procedure is described, the optimum value
s of tuning and damping parameters of this model are specified in grap
hical form, and the effectiveness of this method in reducing the trans
missibility during resonance is shown to be considerably greater than
that of the method connecting two structures by only a damper.
