Abstract
9-(beta-D-Xylofuranosyl)adenine and 9-(alpha-L-arabinofuranosyl)adenin e have been modified to give a series of gr-amino-substituted nucleosi des. Convenient methods of halogenation of these nucleosides and react ions of 8-halogenated nucleosides with various amines are described. N o significant cytotoxic or antiviral activity was found.
