Abstract
One advantage of combination sedative therapy is the use of small dose s of agents from different drug classes to treat concomitant behaviora l problems. The simultaneous use of multiple sedative agents results i n the need for new clinical decisions regarding the administration of and weaning from the pharmacologic effects of these drugs. This articl e reviews the current status of research regarding combination sedativ e therapy.
