Abstract
A mathematical model for the description of processes of outgassing an d contamination is studied under the assumption that the boundary surf ace between the region where the contaminant particles are produced an d the cavity, where they migrate, is multiplying. The theory of semigr oups is used to show that a unique positive strict solution exists. Su itable bounds for the total number of contaminant particles are derive d. (C) 1995 Academic Press, Inc.
