Abstract
If a first-order discrete dynamical system (DDS) possesses a continuou s symmetry, the system is known to be linearizable. In this paper, we show that a first-order analytic DDS always possesses a symmetry in a neighbourhood of a hyperbolic fixed point. (C) 1995 Academic Press, In c.
