Abstract
This study concerns the analysis of phenomena associated with the star t of rolling track wear subject to a rolling/slipping test under const ant normal load. For fixed stress and greasing conditions, the damage with respect to the test duration was studied using a specific simulat or. The damaged surfaces were analyzed for nanoroughness using a tunne l effect microscope. We thus could show the various stages of the surf ace deterioration.
