Abstract
A new microplate phospholipase D (PLD) assay has been developed on the basis of a two-step technique with colorimetric determination of the reaction product choline. The described method was optimized concernin g its linearity, reproducibility and concentrations of reaction compon ents. The results obtained with the microplate technique in the analys is of different PLD samples were compared with those obtained with the biosensor assay. The microplate assay proved to be more sensitive tha n the biosensor technique and considerably less time-consuming.
