Abstract
A multisensor track-initiation algorithm is proposed. The algorithm ma rries conventional gating approaches with log-likelihood-ratio test ba sed data fusion methods and effectively deals with the missing measure ment problem. The application of the proposed method to the low-elevat ion track initiation problem using shipboard radar and infrared sensor s is discussed. Simulation results are presented that compare the perf ormance of the proposed algorithm with that of the AND algorithm.
