Abstract
The arrays of ramp-type HTS Josephson junctions connected in series ar e studied. The local values of critical temperature and current of bot h electrodes and Josephson junctions in arrays are measured using low- temperature scanning laser microscope. The top and bottom electrodes a re found to differ in quality, featuring a gradient of the critical te mperature that causes the gradient of critical temperature and current of Josephson junctions along the array. The current-voltage character istics, also under the microwave irradiation, as well as the temperatu re dependences of resistance, critical and excess currents are studied . The existence of a non-equilibrium region in the vicinity of the ram p junctions associated with phase slip processes is proved.
