Magnetic properties of Ca1-xEuxMnO3 perovskites have been studied. The
magnetization was observed to increase with the Eu3+ ions substitutin
g For those of Ca2+ up to x = 0.1 and then to decrease. The magnetic o
rdering temperature increases from 122 K (x = 0) to 140 K (x = 0.2) an
d then decreases down to 40 K (x = O.5). The charge ordering takes pla
ce at x = 0.2 The charge-ordered phase is supposed to transform From t
he antiferromagnetic state to the ferromagnetic one when high magnetic
field is applied.
