Abstract
Measurements of electrical conductivity, thermoelectric power, and cry stallographic structure of tungsten trioxide are presented. It is foun d that the predominant charge carriers are electrons related to nonsto ichiometry in the oxygen sublattice (WO3-gamma). At gamma = 0.1 the in vestigated material undergoes a semiconductor-metal transition of Mott type.
