Abstract
We report the results of soft X-ray (ROSAT) and radio (ATCA) observati ons of the globular cluster Terzan 2 which is possibly associated with a hard X-ray source (>40 keV) dis covered by the SIGMA/GRANAT coded m ask telescope. The ROSAT HRI observation (0.1-2.4 keV) shows the exist ence of only one source positionally coincident with the center of Ter zan 2. This source is compatible in position and flux with the previou sly known X-ray burster XB 1724-308. No other soft X-ray source is det ected within 3.5' from the cluster center and within the error box of the SIGMA source. It is therefore very likely that the X-ray burster w as responsible for the time variable high energy emission observed wit h SIGMA in 1990-1993. Two possible radio sources are marginally detect ed near the cluster center.
