Abstract
Dynamic susceptibility and electrical resistance of thin films of Cd1- xMnxTe (0 less than or equal to X less than or equal to 0.6) deposited on Coming 7059 glass substrates at a 650-K substrate temperature were studied in the 20-300-K temperature range. The existence of an inters titial MnTe phase and a low-temperature spin-glass phase for X > 0.25 has bren observed. The low-temperature magnetic and resistive properti es of the thin films have been correlated, which provide some differen t insights in the exchange mechanisms taking place in these materials.
