8 NEW EREMOPHILANE DERIVATIVES FROM THE ROOTS OF LIGULARIA-PRZEWALSKI

Two known eremophilanodiolides [1,2] and four new compounds of this cl ass [3-6], a new eremophilanolide [7], two eremophilane epimers [9,10] , and a noreremophilane derivative [8], were isolated in a phytochemic al investigation of the the roots of Ligularia przewalskii. Their stru ctures were elucidated by nmr spectroscopic methods and by chemical tr ansformations.
