Abstract
Severe deterioration caused by corroding reinforcing steel in concrete structures is a major concern in the maintenance of a safe and reliab le infrastructure. The effects of chloride concentration, temperature, and humidity on the corrosion behaviour of a typical reinforcing stee l in a typical concrete mix were examined using a full factorial, thre e-level experimental design as well as statistical methods to predict corrosion rates.
