Abstract
Geochemical features of the Romansh break hyperbasites (Equatorial Atl anic) dragged during 17th voyage of ''Akademik Boris Petrov'' scientif ic ship have been studied. The rocks dragged are represented by amphib olized dunites, harzburgites, and Iherzolites. Variations of the rocks ' and minerals' composition reflect a different degree of partial melt ing. One of the samples studied (D10-3) has composition close to a non depleted upper mantle. Metasomatic alterations influenced the composit ion of the rocks: one can see sharp titanium enrichment in both the ro ck-forming minerals and the whole rocks. This process was irregular an d local and occurred after partial melting of hyperbasites.
