E. Ilichev et al., INDUCTIVE REPLY OF HIGH-TC RF SQUID IN THE PRESENCE OF LARGE THERMAL FLUCTUATIONS, Journal of low temperature physics, 106(3-4), 1997, pp. 503-508
Inductive reply of the high Tc rf SQUIDs were investigated at 77 K. It
is shown experimentally that the SQUIDs operate in adiabatic nonhyste
retic (dispersive) mode. The SQUIDs were operable even if (i) the Jose
phson coupling energy is considerably smaller than the thermal energy,
and (ii) the SQUID inductance as larger than the so called ''fluctuat
ion-threshold inductance''. The influence of thermal noise on the resp
onse of nonhysteretic SQUIDs is estimated theoretically. The validity
limits of the estimation are discussed.
