A. Corma et al., SELECTIVE HYDROBORATION OF OLEFINS CATALY ZED BY NEW CATIONIC RH(I) COMPLEXES HETEROGENIZED ON ZEOLITES, Anales de quimica, 91(3-4), 1995, pp. 277-283
The synthesis and characterization of new cationic Rh(I) complexes wit
h NN-ligands (1a, 1b) and NP-ligands (2a, 2b) are reported. The comple
xes bearing the triethoxysilil group were covalently bonded to a modif
ied USY zeolite to give heterogenized catalysts. The reaction of 1-dec
ene, cyclohexene and styrene with catecholborane in presence of 1% mol
of new prepared homogeneous and heterogenized Rh catalysts proceed re
giselectively to give, after oxidation, 1-decanol, cyclohexanol and 1-
phenylethanol respectively in excellent yields, whilts the more bulky
1-methylstyrene did not react at the same operation conditions.
