Abstract
The nomenclatural status of genera of the Halosphaeriaceae (Halosphaer iales, Ascomycotina) is reviewed and a key to the genera is presented. Ten types of ascospore appendage ontogeny in species of the Halosphae riaceae have been demonstrated at the ultrastructural level and are re described and discussed. The family currently comprises 42 genera (wit h 4 new genera to be erected) with 132 species.
