Abstract
Predictors of satisfaction with specific aspects of child day care arr angements were evaluated for parents and care providers of children in full-time center-based child day care and family child care. Descript ive statistics for the predictors were compared by type of care. Hiera rchical regression analyses revealed that perceived social support der ived from the care arrangement was the best predictor of parental sati sfaction in both types of care. For center-based providers, satisfacti on was best predicted by parent-provider agreement about the importanc e of specific care characteristics. Parent-provider agreement about tr aditional child-rearing values was associated with satisfaction for fa mily child care providers.
