IMPLEMENTATION OF PALPLUS DECODER WITH PROGRAMMABLE VIDEO SIGNAL PROCESSOR

In this paper, implementation of video signal processing of PALplus de coder is presented, Principle and features of PALplus transmission sys tem are reviewed and the operations required in the decoding described from the implementation point of view. The architecture and the progr amming of Scanline Video Processor are given shortly, The video signal processing operations in the PALplus decoding, namely Motion Adaptive Colorplus, inverse letterbox conversion and helper processing, are im plemented using two processors, Finally, suitability of the processor and potential and useful extensions for the processor are discussed.
