Nn. Zhdanova et al., NEW APPROACH TO THE REVELATION OF MICROMY CETES - BIOINDICATORS OF SOIL POLLUTION IN UKRAINIAN WOODLANDS, Mikologia i fitopatologia, 29(1), 1995, pp. 23-29
Authors tried to revelate micromycetes-bioindicators of soil pollution
in Ukrainian woodlands (30 km around Chernobil and <<Southern frace o
f soil pollution>>-zone). There were established 2 stages of changes i
n fungi species composition in woodland around Chernobil (from 1987 to
1993). 13 micromycetes species were selected as bioindicators of soil
pollution. Chaetomium aureum and Paecilomyces lilacinus were typical
for high and average soil pollution of woodland. Authors suggest to ta
ke into account the finding of fungi with high factor loading for bioi
ndicators selection.
