Abstract
When a hypervelocity projectile with velocity, v, strikes a target, th ere is a visible flash of impact fluorscence. If the radiation and the material are in thermodynamic equilibrium, the ''intensity,'' I, of t he light obeys the power law, I similar to v(n).
