Abstract
A brief overview of the technical principles of diagnostic imaging met hods (radiography, ultrasonography, X-ray computed tomography, nuclear magnetic resonance imaging) in small animal practice is given. The ad vantages and disadvantages of each method is listed. Examples of image s illustrate their use. The choice of best diagnostic imaging tool for various indications is discussed.
