Computer simulation of the electron thermalization in irradiated nonpo
lar media has been performed on a basis of a simple model of electron
energy dissipation. The distributions of the electron-cation distance
obtained from the simulation are qualitatively different for the singl
e electron-cation pairs and for the ionization spurs containing more t
han a single pair of charges. It was found that the mean thermalizatio
n time is inversely proportional to the number of the pairs of charges
in the ionization spur.
