SELF-DIFFUSION IN MULTICOMPONENT LIQUID-SYSTEMS

Various techniques for measuring self-diffusion coefficients are compa red and theoretical approaches of selfdiffusion processes briefly disc ussed. The self-diffusion of components in mixtures of water with orga nic solvents are used to gain insight into their local structures. An effect of electrolytes on the solvent structure is shown and an interr elation between solvation of ions and the structure of binary solvents is discussed.
