Abstract
In oat (A vena sativa L. cv. Suregrain) leaf segments, light-dark modu lation of nitrate reductase (NR) activity could be observed only when segments were kept in -NO3 conditions. We present here evidence that n itrate would regulate NR activity by modulating the phosphorylation st atus of the enzyme.
