Abstract
Skin involvement is common in patients with SLE, and in some cases is related to the menstrual period. We describe the clinical course of 3 patients with menstrual related rashes who experienced a significant i mprovement from their skin disease after the initiation of oral contra ceptives. The potential role of hormones in the manifestations of SLE is discussed.
