Abstract
A 7/k-pixelX3 line color linear sensor has been developed for color im age scanners. The sensor pitch, 8 mu m, is the smallest size among dev ices with single-sided readout method. Wide blooming margin and dynami c range are achieved. A gain-select function and a shutter function ar e adopted. This sensor reads A4-size documents at a density of 800 DPI .
