Tj. Caporello et Pm. Wolfe, A CLOSED-LOOP ASSESSMENT FRAMEWORK FOR INTEGRATED PRODUCT AND PROCESS-DEVELOPMENT IMPLEMENTATIONS, Computers & industrial engineering, 29, 1995, pp. 387-391
An assessment framework for identifying and measuring the impacts of I
ntegrated Product and Process Development (IPPD) implementations is pr
esented. This framework considers the four major areas of commercial e
nterprise; the external environment, business strategy, IPPD, and impl
ementation, which together form a closed-loop relationship. The holist
ic nature of the assessment framework make it a useful educational too
l for understanding the influence of activities undertaken to re-engin
eer the various business processes and how this impacts the customer.
