Intermolecular hydrogen bonds form between a variety of weak proton ac
ids such as indole and 2,4,6-Me(3)C(6)H(2)OH and the transition-metal
hydrides [ReH5(PPh(3))(3)], [ReH7(Ph(2)PCH(2)CH(2)PPh(2))] and [WM(4)(
PMePh(2))(4)]; the strengths of the hydrogen-bond interactions are com
pared by IR data.
