Sm. Dubiel et J. Cieslak, EVIDENCE OF THE 5TH-ORDER AND THE 7TH-ORDER HARMONICS OF SPIN-DENSITYWAVES IN CHROMIUM, Solid state communications, 96(12), 1995, pp. 1003-1006
Evidence of the fifth-order, H-5 and possibly of the seventh-order, H-
7 harmonics of the spin-density waves (SDW) was found for the first ti
me from the Sn-119 Mossbauer spectrum registered at room temperature o
n a (1 1 0) face of a single-crystal sample of chromium. The best-fit
relative values obtained for H-5 and H-7 are: H-5/H-1 = 1.0(5) X 10(-2
) and H-7/H-1 = -0.9(8) X 10(-2), H-1 being the amplitude of the funda
mental SDW. The analysis of the spectrum gave also the first direct ev
idence of the existence of the charge-density waves in chromium with t
he maximum amplitude of the order of 10(-2).
