Abstract
Pro-Cite 2.02 was identified to be a very valuable and flexible tool i n compiling and analyzing data for library and archival condition and site surveys. A step-by-step guide is given on how to configure the so ftware, enter the data, and analyze and interpret the results for such surveys. The greatest advantage that Pro-Cite offers in this applicat ion is its Boolean searching capability, which allows the surveyor to create and combine a great number of variables and thus glean much mor e information from surveys than previous methodologies allowed. Pro-Ci te, however, will not perform statistical calculations other than show ing the total number of items that meet the criteria desired in single or multiple-variable searches.
