Abstract
Serum immunoglobulins, peripheral white blood cells and lymphocyte sub population counts of twenty patients who received ceftizoxime and ceft riaxone for antimicrobial prophilaxis in surgery were examined in orde r to obtain a profile of the effects of these drugs on humoral and cel lular immune system of human, No differences in the serum concentratio ns of IgG, IgM, IgA, peripheral blood lymphocytes and lymphocyte subpo pulations 24 h and 48 h following the last dose of these two drugs wer e observed.
