Abstract
Text following immediately introduces a theoretical method to simulate the propagation of an optical pulse in nonlinear media. Dispersive an d nonlinear effects are taken into account through the polarization in troduced in MAXWELL's equations. Those equations are solved in the tim e domain using the F.D.T.D. (Finite Difference Time Domain) method, th at allows to minimize the assumptions and to model ultrashort pulses.
