Abstract
N-alkyl-2,2-dihaloamides were efficiently prepared by amino-de-alkoxyl ation of methyl 2,2-dihalocarboxylates, at room temperature without so lvents and promoters. Excellent yields of anilides were obtained after addition of AlCl3.
