Abstract
An investigation of the chemical constituents of the ethanolic extract
of the heartwood of Ochroma lagopus Swartz led to the isolation of ni
ne new lignans named boehmenan B-D and carolignan A-F. Their chemical
structures have been deduced on the basis of H-1, C-13,H-1-homonuclear
COSY, HETCOR, NOEDIFF and DEPT nmr spectral studies.
