Abstract
The role and scope of authority of the Office of the Long-Term Care Om
budsman is explored in relation to three case examples, The ombudsman'
s primary responsibility to the client is compared to the need for pro
ductive working relationships with other disciplines to effect client
goals in a manner which is responsive to ethical decision-making.
