A study on RVNRL with low energy electron beams of 300 keV was carried
out to reduce cost of irradiation. To overcome the very low penetrati
on of low energy EB a special vessel with a stirrer was developed. Phy
sical properties such as tensile strength, elongation at break and swe
lling ratio of the films from the irradiated latex were measured to fi
nd out the optimum conditions of RVNRL. The results show that low ener
gy EB can be used for RVNRL effectively even without sensitizers.
