Abstract
A field experiment was carried put during 1990 and 1991 to study cultu ral and chemical weed control in Indian mustard [Brassica juncea (L.) Czernj. & Cosson] at Gwalior. All the herbicides and cultural treatmen ts significantly reduced dry-matter production by weeds over the contr ol. The highest seed yield was obtained in weed-free treatment, follow ed by 2 hand-weedings (at 30 and 45 days after sowing) and in plots tr eated with fluchloralin @ 0.75 kg ai/ha at pre-planting.
