Abstract
Similar cases of sutural persistence in the parietal region of the cra nia of two roe deer (Capreolus capreolus), a Northern Pudu (Pudu mephi stophiles) and an axis deer (Axis axis) are described. In all four spe cimens, the interparietal suture and one of the two interparietopariet al sutures remained open, whereas the contralateral sutura interpariet oparietalis and the sutura interinterparietalis were closed.
