Abstract
Antagonism is observed in the extraction of uranium(VI) by the mixture of 5% (v/v) Aliquat 336 and 5% (v/v) Alamine 304 from 0.6-6 M HCl sol ution. This effect increases with increase in acid concentration. With the mixture of 5% (v/v) Aliquat 336 and 5% (v/v) PC 88A, the extracti on of U(VI) shows a regular increase with increase in HCl concentratio n, although antagonism is observed over the entire range of acidity.
